Amai in Bannu

Amai the brid of Light was in Bannu to distribute Eid gifts among Internally displaced children from Morth Waziristan. Gulalai from Khwendo Kor conducted art activities with children.

Art and Book reading activity for Internally Displaced children from N.Waziristan.

Funkor Childart Center contributed towards Children Literature Festival's help to IDP Children. Director Programs Idara-e-Taleem-O-Aagahi (ITA) and Founder of CLF, Baela Raza Jamil along with CLF Coordinator Pakistan, Maham Ali  visited Bannu on Thursday, 10th of July .Fauzia Minallah very generously donated us books written by her titled “Sadako’s Prayer” written in both Pashto and English which was read to the children in Pashto by a social welfare worker at the Government Girls Primary School and by a member of our Peshawar team at the Government Primary School No 2. 

Children of Government Primary School no 2 did mural painting – art material for the mural painting was donated by Fauzia Minallah. From birds to the flag of Pakistan to their homes back in North Waziristan, the children painted all this and much more. Text from ITA report.

Gifts from Amai for the children of Thar

Adarsh NGO in Tharparkar distributed Amai gifts of milk and biscuits among 200 children. Children were excited to see Amai the Bird of Light, they played with her. To promote multi cultural harmony these gifts were donated by Funkor Childart Center in a village with mostly Hindu population as well as Muslim. The gifts were bought by the prize money of Anita Ghulam Ali award that Fauzia Minallah was awarded by the Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA) or the 'Centre of Education and Consciousness'.
